The Union Minister of State for Law & Justice, Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, launched the e-VSP (Vidhi Sahitya
Prakashan) Portal on July 2026.
Highlights:
1.
e-VSP (Vidhi Sahitya
Prakashan) Portal is a digital platform
developed by the Legislative Department, Ministry of Law & Justice.
2.
It provides online access
to Hindi legal publications, including judgments of the Supreme Court and
High Courts, legal journals, and reference books.
Objective:
1. Promoting Digital Access:
i.
To make legal literature
available online for lawyers, judicial officers, students, teachers,
researchers, and citizens worldwide.
ii.
To support the Digital
India initiative by improving access to legal knowledge.
2. Promoting Hindi in the Legal Domain:
i.
Encourages the use of simple, lucid, and citizen-friendly Hindi
in legal literature.
ii.
Strengthens Hindi as a language for legal understanding and professional
discourse.
Major benefit:
1. The e-VSP Portal makes legal information more accessible to citizens, promoting
transparency and enhancing legal awareness.
2. Preserves India's constitutional values and legal heritage through digital documentation.
