The
Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (MYAS), through the Mera Yuva
Bharat (MY Bharat) platform, has launched the district-level
competitions under the nationwide ‘Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat’
campaign.
Highlights:
1. The campaign follows a
three-tier competition format comprising District, State and National levels.
2. Competitions will be held across
five creative categories—Dance, Music, Reel & Short Film, Nukkad Natak, and
Slam Poetry—to promote the message of a drug-free India through culture,
storytelling, music and digital creativity.
3. The initiative is open to
youth aged 15–29 years, allowing both individual and group participation,
with entries accepted in Hindi, English and regional languages through the MY
Bharat Portal.
4. The campaign aims to encourage
Yuva Shakti to use creativity as a means of social transformation,
contributing to the vision of a Nasha Mukt Bharat and Viksit Bharat
during Amrit Kaal.
5.
The
campaign reinforces the Prime Minister's call to make the fight against
substance abuse a nationwide Jan Andolan (People's Movement).
6. Jan Andolan is the initiative that seeks
to mobilise youth through creativity, culture and community
leadership to promote a Nasha Mukt Bharat.
