Evaluation Study of the National Scheduled Castes Finance and
Development Corporation (NSFDC) revealed that its Credit-Based Schemes have
significantly improved entrepreneurship, self-employment, income, asset
creation, and socio-economic conditions of Scheduled Caste beneficiaries
across the country.

About NSFDC:
1. National
Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC) is a central
public sector enterprise (CPSE) functioning under the Ministry of Social
Justice and Empowerment.
2. Established
to promote the economic and social development of Scheduled Castes through
concessional financial assistance.
3. Objectives:
i.
Promotes entrepreneurship and self-employment among
Scheduled Caste beneficiaries.
ii.
It provides concessional credit for
income-generating activities.
iii.
It supports skill development and sustainable
livelihood opportunities.
4. Outcomes:
i.
The proportion of self-employed beneficiaries increased
from 46.62% to 73.95% after receiving assistance.
ii.
More than 81% of beneficiaries reported a
positive improvement in their social and economic status.
