research vessel, Shi Yan 6 is expected to dock at Colombo and Hambantota deep
sea ports in Sri Lanka by October this year.
About Shiyan 6:

It is a Chinese research
vessel added to the fleet in 2020.

It is the first
scientific research vessel focused on geophysical exploration in China’s fleet.
●
The 60-member crew will
carry out oceanography, marine geology and marine ecology tests.
