TITBITS:

1.      In a recent development, Bombay High Court ruled against an amendment to the Information Technology Rules, which sought to empower the Union government’s "Fact Check Unit" (FCU) to determine what constitutes false or misleading information regarding its operations. The ruling emphasized the importance of free speech and struck down provisions that would allow the government undue control over online content.

2.      Climate activist Sonam Wangchuk is protesting for Ladakh's inclusion in the Sixth Schedule of the Indian Constitution. This movement echoes similar demands from Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur for greater autonomy and protections for tribal populations.

3.      Israel's ground incursion into Lebanon to battle Hezbollah left eight Israeli soldiers dead, while the region braced for further escalation as Israel vowed to retaliate against Iran's missile attack.

4.      Maldives President Mohamed Muizzu is likely to visit India from October 6 to 10. While Muizzu attended Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this will be his first 'standalone' bilateral visit to India, almost a year after he assumed office in Male.

5.      The release of the first India-made commercial system-on-chip for secure IoT environments, the world's first "Digital Entomologist", and the creation of the first-of-its-kind testbeds in India for autonomous navigation and security operations of critical infrastructure.

6.Minimum Import Price

7.Augmented Reality

·         Real-time integration of digital information into a user’s environment.

·         In AR, images generated from a computer are projected onto real-life objects or surroundings.

·         In Virtual Reality (VR), a simulated environment is created and the physical world is completely shut out.
