of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra
What's
in the news?

It is the concept of the Honourable Prime
Minister that Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra is being run in the country from 15
November 2023 to 26 January 2024, in which this Yatra is reaching every village
to benefit the beneficiaries and provide information about the benefits of the
schemes.
Vikas
Bharat Sankalp Yatra:
Aim:

To promote
and publicize government welfare schemes.
●
To enroll potential beneficiaries of these
schemes by collecting details during the yatra.
Features:
●
The schemes that will be publicized
through the yatra include Ayushman Bharat, PMJAY PM Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, Deendayal
Antyodaya Yojana among others.
Target:
●
The target is to cover over 2.55 lakh Gram Panchayats and over 3,600 urban local bodies
by 25th January 2024.
Objectives:
1.
Reaching out to the Vulnerable:
●
Identifying individuals eligible for
various government schemes who have not yet availed of the benefits.
2.
Dissemination of Information and Generating Awareness:
●
Spreading information about the schemes
and creating awareness among the public about their eligibility and benefits.
3.
Interaction with Beneficiaries:
●
Engaging with beneficiaries through
personal stories and experiences, providing a platform for them to share their
insights.
4.
Enrollment of Potential Beneficiaries:
●
Collecting details during the yatra to
facilitate the enrollment of potential beneficiaries in the schemes.
