Current relevance:
The
National Conference on Quantum Biotechnology brought together
researchers, clinicians, industry leaders, startups and students to advance the

Quantum
Biotechnology:

Quantum
biotechnology lies at the intersection of quantum sensing, quantum imaging

National Conference
on Quantum Biotechnology:

one-day national conference was hosted by QMet Tech at the IIT Bombay
campus, Mumbai.

The
conference aimed to help define national research directions in quantum
biotechnology.

also focused on strengthening the pathway from laboratory demonstration

QMet Tech Foundation
& National Quantum Mission:
i.
QMet
Tech Foundation is the
Thematic Hub (T-Hub) for Quantum Sensing & Metrology established under the National
Quantum Mission (NQM).
ii.
It
is located at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay and is
supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST).
iii.
QMet
Tech is developing high-precision quantum sensors and exploring their
applications in biosensing and life sciences.
iv.
Its
role extends to supporting startups, talent development, manufacturing and
testing capabilities required to translate emerging technologies towards
clinical applications.
v.
The
conference reinforced the NQM objective of developing a collaborative and
application-driven quantum ecosystem.

Applications in
Healthcare & Life Sciences:
i.
Diagnostics: Quantum sensing could contribute to
highly precise measurement capabilities for detecting biological signals.

Biomedical
Imaging:
